The Minister of Information stated that the case of the girl “Jannat” highlights the Houthis’ judiciary as a tool for protecting criminals.

Title: Yemeni Minister Highlights Injustice in Case of Child Victim

Yemen’s Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, has condemned the case of a young girl, Janat Al-Siyahi, as a stark example of the injustice perpetrated by the Iran-backed Houthi militia. He emphasized that the Houthis use the judicial system to legitimize the crimes and violations committed by their leaders and members against Yemeni citizens in areas under their control.

Allegations Against the Houthi Militia

In a recent press statement, Al-Eryani accused the Houthi militia of falsely claiming to defend the dignity of Yemenis. He noted that they profess to support the oppressed people of Palestine in Gaza, yet their actions mirror those of the Israeli occupation. Al-Eryani asserted that the Houthis serve as a shield for murderers and criminals, highlighting the brutality of their regime.

Judicial Corruption Exposed

Al-Eryani pointed out that the case of Janat Al-Siyahi has exposed the corruption within the judiciary controlled by the Houthis. He described the judiciary as an instrument for protecting perpetrators of serious crimes, including murder, theft, and increasingly frequent cases of sexual assault. These issues have escalated amid a climate of insecurity and the deliberate policies of ignorance and impoverishment enforced by the militia in their territories.

Solidarity with Victims

The Minister expressed unwavering solidarity with the family of Janat Al-Siyahi and all victims of Houthi violence. He urged all Yemenis, both domestically and abroad, to rally behind the family and elevate the case to a matter of public concern. Al-Eryani asserted that those responsible for these heinous crimes, including Houthi leaders and their accomplices, will ultimately face justice, regardless of the time it takes.

The case of Janat Al-Siyahi serves as a critical reminder of the ongoing struggles faced by Yemeni citizens under Houthi rule. The Minister’s statements reflect a growing demand for accountability and justice in a country grappling with years of conflict and instability. As the situation continues to unfold, the call for unity and action among Yemenis remains more crucial than ever.
