Dr. Mohammed Shabeeba, the Minister of Awqaf and Guidance and Head of Yemen’s Hajj Affairs Office, convened a comprehensive meeting at the Yemeni mission in Mecca. The gathering included heads and members of the field committees involved in this year’s Hajj season, 1446 AH.
During the meeting, Minister Shabeeba stressed the importance of high responsibility in all tasks related to Hajj. He urged committee members to take a firm stance against any violations that could harm the pilgrimage or its participants. "Serving the pilgrims is a noble duty that requires sincere intentions and collective efforts to facilitate their rituals," he stated.
Minister Shabeeba called on committee leaders and members to fully commit to their assigned responsibilities, framing their work as both a religious and national obligation. He warned against any negligence that could negatively impact the pilgrims and their ability to perform Hajj.
Dr. Abdullah Dahan, the Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population and head of the medical mission, praised the leadership of Yemen’s Hajj Affairs Office for its dedication to improving the quality of services provided to Yemeni pilgrims. He highlighted the medical committee’s efforts and the support offered by the Hajj Affairs Office to ensure the committee can fulfill its duties effectively.
Dr. Mukhtar Al-Khadr Al-Rabash, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance for Hajj and Umrah, reiterated that no one can perform Hajj without a permit. He emphasized that the ministry would take strict action against anyone who neglects the rights of the pilgrims.
As of Thursday evening, the number of pilgrims transported to the holy sites reached 8,600 via land through the Al-Wadiah crossing and approximately 4,400 by air, according to scheduled flights. Al-Rabash underscored the necessity of adhering to the regulations established by the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia, which aim to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims.
