The Mazhij and Hamir tribes express their support for the army and readiness to engage in the decisive battle against Houthi militants.

Yemeni Tribes Unite Against Houthi Militias

In a significant show of solidarity, the tribes of Madhaj and Hamir have declared their readiness to support the Yemeni army, security forces, and resistance fighters in the decisive battle to reclaim the state and liberate Yemen from the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

Tribal Gathering in Marib

Today, a large tribal gathering took place in Marib, organized by the leaders and dignitaries of the Madhaj and Hamir tribes. Participants hailed from various provinces, including Marib, Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Taiz, Ibb, Shabwa, Raymah, Lahij, and Al-Dhale. The tribes affirmed their complete readiness to engage in the battle for Yemen’s liberation, pledging to sacrifice everything necessary to rid the country of the Houthi threat.

Commitment to Yemen’s Sovereignty

The statement issued during the gathering emphasized that the Madhaj and Hamir tribes have historically led the fight against tyranny and will continue to stand firm against the remnants of Houthi control. They vowed to remain a cornerstone of Yemen’s strength and sovereignty, rejecting any attempts by the Houthi militia to seize control of the nation. The tribes also expressed their determination to prevent Yemen from becoming a battleground for foreign agendas that threaten its identity and beliefs.

Call for Unity Among Yemeni Tribes

The statement called for a comprehensive conference of all Yemeni tribes to unify their ranks and eliminate internal divisions. It stressed the importance of a unified tribal, political, and military decision to confront the Houthi project. The tribes pledged to support every free Yemeni, regardless of tribal or political affiliation, in the fight to reclaim their homeland and confront the common enemy.

Upholding Tribal Values

The tribes expressed pride in their heritage and traditional values, which emphasize justice, dignity, and honor. They firmly rejected the Iranian-backed Houthi rebellion, which seeks to enslave Yemenis, plunder their resources, and alter their identity. The tribes vowed not to allow the return of any form of tyranny.

Warning Against Forced Recruitment

The statement also warned against the forced recruitment practices employed by the Houthi militia in occupied areas. It highlighted the militia’s systematic efforts to erase national identity, targeting future generations. The tribes urged those misled into fighting for the Houthis to return to their families and homeland.

Charter of Honor Established

The leaders of the Madhaj and Hamir tribes announced a Charter of Honor, committing to resist the Houthis through all available means—military, popular, intellectual, and media—until the last inch of Yemen is liberated. They pledged full readiness to provide men, weapons, financial support, and logistical assistance to all fronts against the Houthis, vowing to lay down arms only when the militia is completely defeated. The tribes demand a free, independent, and just Yemeni state under the republic.

Support for Fighters and Families

The Charter of Honor includes a commitment to form tribal committees to support fighters on the front lines, care for the families of martyrs, and assist the wounded. It emphasizes the need to support any tribe or region under Houthi aggression and reaffirms their dedication to restoring Yemen’s state and sovereignty over its entire territory.

Accountability for Collaborators

The statement warned any tribe or individual against complacency or collusion with the Houthis, labeling such actions as a grave betrayal of the homeland and tribe. The tribes affirmed their resolve to hold accountable anyone who collaborates with the Houthi enemy, ensuring that the hands of the tribes remain raised against all traitors.
