The launch of the 2025 training and combat year has officially commenced.

The Operations Authority and its various departments, including the War Operations Department, Infantry Department, Armored Department, Artillery and Missiles Department, Military Engineering Department, Military Survey Department, and Military Communications Department, have officially launched the first training phase for the 2025 training and combat year. This initiative includes the Sixth Aviation Brigade, the Engineering Fortifications Unit, units from the Missile Brigade, and reserve brigades from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

Leadership’s Support and Recognition

During the launch event, General Staff Chief and Joint Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, conveyed the greetings and admiration of the political and military leadership, represented by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Alimi, along with all council members and the Prime Minister. They praised the steadfastness, resilience, and sacrifices of the armed forces as they fulfill their national duty in the mountains, valleys, and plateaus. The leadership recognized the importance of the mission to defend the revolution, the republic, and national achievements against the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist organization.

Training Objectives and Achievements

Lieutenant General bin Aziz emphasized that the launch of the first phase of the 2025 training year coincides with cumulative training efforts from previous years. He stated that the military aims to build on a solid foundation in various operational, combat, and morale training types. This training aligns with the armed forces’ courageous actions in combat theaters against Houthi militias, translating military training and knowledge into practical and field applications.

Acknowledging Support and Challenges

The General Staff Chief expressed gratitude for the efforts of the Operations Authority and its affiliated units across various levels. He thanked the political and military leadership for their support in overcoming obstacles faced by the military institution. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Saudi-led Coalition supporting legitimacy and all other supporters.

Addressing Current Challenges

Lieutenant General bin Aziz remarked, “As we inaugurate the new training year for 2025, the Houthi terrorist militias continue to practice various forms of oppression, intimidation, and enforced disappearances against our citizens in controlled provinces. They endure torture and deprivation of basic human rights.” He assured that the painful reality faced by the Yemeni people will not last forever, stating, “The night will eventually pass, and the chains will break.”

Training Plans and Future Goals

Brigadier General Khalid Al-Ashwal, Chief of the Operations Authority, confirmed that the launch of the 2025 training and combat year aligns with directives from the Minister of Defense and the organizational instructions from the Chief of General Staff. He presented key achievements, successes, and updates from the previous training year across Yemen’s operational theaters, as well as the plans and programs to be accomplished during the current training year.

Commitment to Peace and Stability

The Chief of the Operations Authority emphasized that the armed forces will remain a strong force for peace, protecting the republican system and ensuring the nation’s security and stability. They aim to safeguard the nation’s resources and achievements from the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist organization and any individuals who threaten the rule of law.

Conclusion of the Launch Ceremony

At the end of the launch ceremony, the Chief of General Staff, the Chief of Operations, and the Deputy Chief of Training and Rehabilitation, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Absi, inspected symbolic units and military vehicles.

This initiative marks a significant step forward for Yemen’s armed forces as they prepare for the challenges ahead in 2025.
