Qatar's Interior Minister Hosts Yemeni Counterpart at Milipol Qatar

Doha, Qatar – Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of State for Internal Affairs, welcomed Major General Ibrahim Haidan, Yemen’s Minister of Interior, during the opening of the 15th edition of the Milipol Qatar exhibition and conference. This global event focuses on internal security and safety.

Strengthening Security Cooperation

During their meeting, both ministers discussed ways to enhance security cooperation between Qatar and Yemen. They exchanged insights regarding current security challenges and strategies to combat organized crime. Sheikh Abdulaziz emphasized the critical importance of collaboration among nations in the security sector. He noted that Milipol Qatar serves as a strategic platform for sharing expertise and modern technologies related to safety and security.

Acknowledgment of Qatar’s Efforts

In response, Major General Ibrahim Haidan expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s invitation to this significant event. He praised Qatar’s ongoing efforts to bolster security and stability in the region, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in promoting peace.

Milipol Qatar: A Hub for Security Innovations

Milipol Qatar gathers a wide array of leading companies in the security and safety sectors. The exhibition attracts experts and specialists from around the globe, facilitating knowledge exchange and showcasing the latest innovations in the field. The event runs from October 29 to October 31 and includes various activities and seminars focusing on recent developments in internal security.

The meeting also included the presence of Rajeh Badi, Yemen’s Ambassador to Qatar, Colonel Mohsen Ali Saleh, the military attaché, and Major Saleh Nasser Basmeir, Deputy Director General of the Minister of Interior’s Office.

This collaboration between Qatar and Yemen underscores the commitment of both nations to address security issues collaboratively and effectively.
