Meeting Highlights Collaborative Efforts

Today, in the temporary capital of Aden, Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haidan met with Mustafa Bulat, the Turkish Ambassador to Yemen. The two officials explored ways to enhance cooperation in the security sector. This meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen their partnership in addressing security challenges.

Turkey’s Support for Yemen

During the discussion, Minister Haidan expressed gratitude for Turkey’s ongoing support for Yemen, particularly in the security domain. He emphasized the importance of joint efforts in exchanging expertise, training, and developing the skills of Yemeni security personnel. This collaboration aims to bolster the capabilities of Yemen’s security forces, which are crucial for maintaining stability in the region.

Ambassador’s Perspective on Bilateral Relations

Ambassador Bulat expressed his pleasure at the meeting and highlighted the historical ties between Yemen and Turkey. He conveyed his eagerness to deepen cooperation between the two countries, particularly in training programs designed to enhance the capabilities of Yemeni security forces. The ambassador noted that Turkey is committed to organizing joint rehabilitation programs that will benefit Yemen’s security sector.

 

The discussions between Minister Haidan and Ambassador Bulat mark a significant step towards strengthening Yemen-Turkey relations in security cooperation. Both parties remain optimistic about future collaborations that will enhance Yemen’s security framework and contribute to regional stability.
