Minister of Interior Discusses Security Cooperation with EU Ambassador

Today, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, Yemen’s Minister of Interior, held a virtual meeting with Patrick Simonnet, the European Union Ambassador to Yemen. The primary focus of their discussion was on enhancing and developing joint cooperation within the security sector.

Strengthening Support from the European Union

During the meeting, Minister Haidan expressed his gratitude for the European Union’s ongoing support to the Ministry of Interior. He highlighted the EU’s commitment to assisting the Yemeni government in strengthening security and stability. The Minister emphasized the necessity to expand cooperation, particularly in combating illegal immigration and enhancing related security capabilities.
