Major General Saleh Mohammed Al-Jaimlani officially took over as commander from his predecessor, Major General Saleh Mohammed Taimas. Additionally, Colonel Ali Yahya Al-Adbai assumed command of the 135th Infantry Brigade, succeeding Colonel Yahya Ali Abu Aujah. The ceremony reflected a strong sense of responsibility, camaraderie, and goodwill, underscoring the commitment to preserving the nation’s vital achievements.
The handover committee, led by Major General Ahmed Abu Hatim, praised the efforts of the outgoing leaders. Their tenure saw significant improvements in security, counter-terrorism, and the fight against smuggling. The units under their command sacrificed many brave soldiers in these endeavors. The committee expressed hopes for the incoming leaders to continue safeguarding the national and military accomplishments of the region.
In his remarks, outgoing commander Major General Saleh Taimas congratulated the new leadership of the First Military Region and the 135th Infantry Brigade. He wished them success in their future missions, emphasizing the importance of maintaining stability and security.
The handover ceremony witnessed the presence of key military figures, including Brigadier General Amer bin Hatyen, Chief of Staff for the First Military Region, and Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Mahshami, Operations Chief. Other leaders from various divisions and battalions in the First Military Region also attended, highlighting the unity and support within the military ranks.
