On January 19, 2025, Major General Saleh Al-Jaimlani, commander of the 37th Armored Brigade and the Military Region One, officially inaugurated the first phase of the 2025 training, operational, and combat year. The ceremony took place at the Military Region One headquarters in Sayun, attended by local and security officials.
During the event, Major General Al-Jaimlani conveyed greetings from the political and military leadership, including President Rashad Al-Alimi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Security, along with the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff. He emphasized that the leadership of the Military Region and its units would always stand alongside citizens to ensure their safety and protect national assets. This commitment aims to provide a secure environment for all residents of Hadramout and the nation.
In his address, Deputy Governor Amer Al-Amari expressed his hopes for the success of the Military Region One and security personnel in their new training year. He praised the significant contributions of the Military Region One in maintaining security and stability within the province. Al-Amari reiterated the local authority’s unwavering support for the military and security forces.
The ceremony featured a symbolic military display that showcased the skills and capabilities of the Military Region One personnel and security forces in the valley and desert regions. This demonstration highlighted their readiness to carry out assigned missions with competence and efficiency.
The inauguration event attracted several notable figures, including Major General Mohammed Salem Bin Aboud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, the Chief of Staff of the Military Region, the Deputy Director of Security and Police in the valley and desert, and commanders from various military units.
The launch of the 2025 training year marks a significant step toward enhancing the operational readiness of the Military Region One and reinforcing security efforts in Hadramout.
