Defense Minister Inspects National Shield Forces in Lahij

Field Visit Highlights Commitment to Military Readiness

Today, Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Dhaeri conducted a field visit to the National Shield Forces in Lahij Governorate. This visit is part of his ongoing series of inspections across various military units and combat fronts.

Ceremonial Display of Military Units

During the visit, Minister Al-Dhaeri observed a grand display of symbolic units from the First Division of the National Shield Forces. He received a warm welcome from Major General Bashir Al-Mudharbi, the commander of the National Shield Forces, along with several unit leaders.

Emphasis on Training and Coordination

The Defense Minister stressed the importance of intensifying training efforts and honing skills to achieve the highest levels of military efficiency. He highlighted the need for coordination among different branches of the armed forces to eliminate the Houthi terrorist militias.

Al-Dhaeri stated, “Every day, we grow more confident in our readiness and determination to complete the liberation process.” He emphasized that the Houthi militia, which has inflicted suffering on our people, only responds to strength. He noted that all peace efforts with them have failed, and they have consistently broken their promises.

Unity Against Houthi Insurgency

The minister pointed out that his field visits cover various fronts and military formations. He affirmed that all forces are united in their goal to end the Houthi coup, restore the state, and ensure security and stability in the country.

Honoring the Sacrifice of Martyrs

Minister Al-Dhaeri reiterated the commitment to honor the blood of martyrs by continuing their path to achieve the goals for which they sacrificed their lives. He expressed gratitude to the coalition partners, led by Saudi Arabia, for their support in helping Yemen regain its stability.

Accompanying Delegation

The minister was accompanied by several key officials during his visit, including Major General Mohammed Batis, Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Affairs; Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, Head of the Logistics Support Authority; Major General Mohammed Al-Shaari, Commander of the Military Police; and other senior military advisors.

This visit underscores the ongoing commitment of Yemen’s defense leadership to enhance military capabilities and restore peace in the region.
