Today, Defense Minister Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqeeli visited the Military Manufacturing Department in Marib. This visit aligns with the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to enhance national military manufacturing capabilities and improve the readiness of the armed forces.
During the visit, Minister Al-Aqeeli received a detailed briefing from Colonel Hussein Bin Jalal, the head of the Military Manufacturing Department. The briefing highlighted the department’s significant accomplishments in military production, which include various models of sniper rifles, missiles, shells, and ammunition of all types. Additionally, the department showcased its efforts in armor plating for military vehicles, which supports army units by providing essential combat resources.
Lieutenant General Al-Aqeeli praised the efforts of the leadership and personnel at the Military Manufacturing Department. He recognized the qualitative achievements that have strengthened the capabilities of the armed forces. Furthermore, he emphasized the need to intensify efforts to meet the requirements of military units, enabling them to carry out their national duties effectively and efficiently.
The Defense Minister underscored that developing military manufacturing systems is a pressing priority for enhancing combat readiness. He stressed the importance of updating technical and technological capabilities and expanding manufacturing areas. Moreover, he pointed out the necessity of leveraging national expertise and competencies to align with military institution requirements and meet battlefield needs.
