Today, in the temporary capital of Aden, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Dhaeri met with Abdulhakim Mohamed, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Yemen. This meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
During their discussions, both leaders explored ways to enhance collaboration, particularly in combating smuggling activities that terrorist groups often exploit. Minister Al-Dhaeri emphasized the importance of joint efforts to address these threats, which pose risks to regional stability and maritime security.
The Minister highlighted the historical brotherly relations between Yemen and Somalia. He reiterated the necessity of cooperation to confront shared challenges and secure vital maritime routes in this strategic region of the world.
In response, Ambassador Mohamed expressed gratitude for Yemen’s supportive stance towards Somalia. He conveyed his country’s eagerness to deepen cooperation across various sectors, aiming to benefit both nations.
