On Saturday, Major General Saleh Mohammed Al-Jaemelani, the commander of the First Military Region and the 37th Armored Brigade, conducted a field visit to the headquarters of the 11th Border Guard Brigade in the Ruma desert district of Hadramout. This visit aligns with directives from the political and military leadership, particularly from President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Security, as well as leaders from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.
Upon arrival, Al-Jaemelani received a warm welcome from Brigadier General Faraj Al-Ateqi, the commander of the 11th Brigade, and Sheikh Ahmed Shumlan Al-Minhali, the director of the Ruma district. During the visit, Al-Jaemelani observed a military parade that showcased the combat readiness and high discipline of the brigade’s personnel. He also received a detailed briefing on the deployment plan for the brigade’s forces across their designated desert area.
In his address to military and community leaders, Al-Jaemelani conveyed greetings from the higher leadership. He praised the resilience of the heroes from the Thumud Axis, particularly the 11th and 315th Brigades, and acknowledged the collaboration of the Eastern Desert tribes in maintaining security and stability.
He emphasized that these military movements form part of a comprehensive security plan aimed at enhancing readiness and deterring any terrorist or sabotage threats. Al-Jaemelani stated, “We send a clear message from here to anyone who dares to disrupt the security of our nation: defeat is all that awaits you, as our brave army stands ready.”
Al-Jaemelani highlighted the necessity of field coordination between the First and Second Military Regions. He also stressed the role of the local community in supporting the army by reporting any suspicious activities.
In closing, Al-Jaemelani commended the significant support provided by the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia. He reaffirmed the deep brotherly relations and shared destiny in confronting the Houthi terrorist agenda. He extended special greetings to the officers and soldiers stationed at the frontlines, stating, “You are the protective shield of the homeland and a symbol of sacrifice and dedication.”
This visit underscores the ongoing efforts to bolster security in the desert districts and the commitment of military leadership to maintain stability in the region.
