A delegation from the Yemeni Coast Guard concluded its participation in the fourth edition of the “Compass Flower” operation today. This initiative, organized by the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) and led by the Egyptian Navy’s Combined Task Force 154, focuses on capacity building and enhancing maritime security training.
The “Compass Flower 4” operation took place from December 15 to 19 at the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet support unit in Manama, Bahrain. The primary goal of this operation was to strengthen international cooperation and improve maritime capabilities among member states and partners.
Four officers from the Yemeni Coast Guard joined 103 participants representing naval and coast guard forces from 19 countries, along with relevant international organizations. This diverse group underscored the collaborative spirit of the operation.
The training sessions covered several critical areas, including maritime security, maritime domain awareness, fire fighting, damage control, maritime law, boarding and inspection procedures, vessel security, and media content creation skills. These topics aim to enhance the operational readiness and effectiveness of participating forces.
The successful conclusion of “Compass Flower 4” reflects a commitment to fostering maritime security and cooperation in the region. The Yemeni Coast Guard’s involvement highlights its dedication to improving its capabilities in line with international standards.
This operation not only strengthens partnerships but also contributes to a safer maritime environment for all nations involved.
