The Chairman of the Leadership Council stated that the new Saudi support is a decisive affirmation of the Kingdom’s commitment to the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

President Alimi Expresses Gratitude for Saudi Support

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressed profound gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He acknowledged the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for depositing a new tranche of support aimed at the state budget. This action reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s steadfast position alongside Yemen and its people, as well as its support for Yemen’s institutions and national economy.

Commitment to Yemen’s Stability

In a post on the platform X, President Alimi stated, “This new announcement decisively confirms what was mentioned in the recent royal speech regarding the Kingdom’s commitment to comprehensive support for the Yemeni government.” He emphasized the importance of restoring government authority across all territories and addressing the attacks from the terrorist Houthi militias.

Financial Support Details

Earlier today, the Saudi Ambassador and supervisor of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Mohammed Al Jaber, announced the deposit of over 224 million Saudi Riyals as part of the financial support grant for the Yemeni government. This funding aims to enhance the regular flow of government finances, improve fiscal policy efficiency, and boost the purchasing power of the Yemeni citizen.

Ongoing Support Amid Challenges

Al Jaber clarified that this support aligns with the wise leadership directives in the Kingdom. It represents a continuation of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing assistance to the Yemeni people and government, especially in light of the current terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia on the resources, properties, and interests of the Yemeni populace.
