On Wednesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, welcomed Mustafa Bulat, the Turkish Ambassador to Yemen, at the Maasheeq Palace. This meeting marked the conclusion of Ambassador Bulat’s tenure in Yemen.
President Alimi praised Ambassador Bulat for his diplomatic efforts in strengthening the exceptional bilateral relations between Yemen and Turkey. He expressed his best wishes for Bulat’s future endeavors, hoping for continued success in his next assignments.
During the meeting, President Alimi highlighted Turkey’s unwavering support for the Yemeni people and their political leadership. He emphasized Turkey’s role in Yemen’s aspirations to restore state institutions, achieve peace, and establish stability. Additionally, he acknowledged the contributions of Turkish humanitarian and charitable organizations in alleviating the suffering of those affected by the ongoing crisis.
President Alimi also expressed gratitude on behalf of the Yemeni government and people for the support extended to the Yemeni community in Turkey. He noted that Turkey has provided refuge for thousands of Yemenis seeking safety from the violence perpetrated by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.
The discussion also covered the outstanding bilateral relations between Yemen and Turkey, exploring avenues for further enhancement and development. The two leaders addressed recent local and regional developments, as well as issues of mutual interest.
The meeting included Mustafa Ahmed Naaman, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, who contributed to the discussions on strengthening ties between the two nations.
