On Monday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, received the Yemeni Orchestra, led by Maestro Mohammed Al-Qahoum. The orchestra recently performed a vibrant musical and vocal concert at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh.

Acknowledgment of Artistic Excellence

During the meeting, President Alimi praised the orchestra’s impressive musical performance. He highlighted the event’s organization, which involved the Saudi Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Yemen’s Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, as well as the Hadhramaut Foundation for Culture. The gathering also included notable attendees such as Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani, Sheikh Abdullah Baqshan, Sheikh Abdullah Baahmadan, and artists Aroa and Hussein Mohab.

Celebrating Cultural Partnerships

President Alimi commended the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—in supporting the concert. He described the event as an inspiring example of collaboration between the government and the national private sector, serving as a powerful platform for creative cultural diplomacy.

He expressed hope that the orchestra’s work would play a vital role in the battle for awareness, fostering values of coexistence and peace, while combating all forms of racism.

Support for Global Peace Initiatives

The President directed that available support be extended to the orchestra and its noble mission to convey a global message of peace. He aimed to showcase Yemen’s rich artistic heritage and cultural legacy to the world.

Future Plans and Humanitarian Initiatives
