President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, extended heartfelt thanks to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He acknowledged their generous directives to allocate a new tranche of financial support for Yemen’s public budget.
President Alimi praised the diligent follow-up by Prince Khalid bin Salman and the dedicated efforts of his team, including the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen. This collaboration has ensured the continuation of vital support, which strengthens the government’s commitments, stabilizes the national currency, and alleviates the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iran-backed Houthi militias.
Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Saeed Al-Jaber, announced the issuance of directives from Saudi leadership to disburse a new financial package through the Saudi program. This support aims to address the Yemeni government’s budget deficit and cover state employee salaries, amounting to over 224 million Saudi Riyals.
Ambassador Al-Jaber emphasized that this financial assistance will enhance the regular flow of funds to the Yemeni government. It will also provide foreign currency, stabilize the Yemeni Rial, and support government efforts to deliver essential services, ultimately fostering economic stability.
This recent support from Saudi Arabia underscores the strong partnership between the two nations and highlights ongoing efforts to improve the living conditions of the Yemeni people. The collaboration aims to pave the way for a more stable and prosperous Yemen.
