President Rashad Alimi Meets with Egyptian Foreign Minister at UN General Assembly

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, welcomed Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty during the ongoing United Nations General Assembly sessions on Tuesday. In response, President Alimi extended his greetings to President el-Sisi and wished the Egyptian people continued progress and prosperity.

The leaders discussed the exceptional bilateral relations between Yemen and Egypt, exploring avenues for enhancement across various sectors. They also addressed regional issues and the importance of coordination between the two countries to tackle shared challenges. Additionally, they focused on efforts to establish peace and stability in Yemen.

President Alimi praised the historic relationship between Yemen and Egypt. He acknowledged Egypt’s honorable stance alongside the Yemeni people throughout various challenges, highlighting Egypt’s significant role in the coalition supporting Yemen’s legitimacy.
