On Sunday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in New York. Accompanying Alimi were council members Aidroos Al-Zubaidi and Othman Mujalli. The leaders discussed significant developments affecting both nations and explored ways to coordinate their positions in various regional and international forums.

Focus on Humanitarian Aid and Occupation Crimes

During the meeting, the leaders emphasized the urgent need to halt Israeli occupation crimes and accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. President Alimi reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine, highlighting the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people to establish an independent and fully sovereign state.

On the Palestinian side, Ziad Abu Amro, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, along with several advisors and the Palestinian Ambassador to the UN, Riyad Mansour, participated in the discussions.
