Baghdad Departure
President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, departed Baghdad, Iraq, following his participation in the Ordinary Arab Summit and the Development Summit. Accompanying him were council members Othman Majali and Faraj Al-Bahsani.
Key Address at the Summit
During the summit, President Alimi delivered a significant speech on behalf of Yemen. He addressed local developments and emphasized the need for a more serious Arab effort to foster solidarity. He highlighted the importance of countering shared terrorist threats, particularly foreign interventions in Arab affairs. Alimi also condemned attempts to undermine national states and their legitimate institutions through rogue terrorist groups.

In his remarks, President Alimi congratulated Iraq’s leadership, government, and people on the successful hosting of both summits. He expressed gratitude for the excellent organization, warm reception, and generous hospitality extended to the Yemeni delegation.
Farewell Reception
As President Alimi and his accompanying delegation prepared to leave, they received a warm farewell from Dr. Ahmed Naif Al-Dulaimi, the Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister, along with Yemen’s Ambassador to Baghdad, Al-Khidr Murmash, and several embassy staff members.
This visit underscores Yemen’s commitment to regional cooperation and solidarity in addressing common challenges.
