The Chairman of the Leadership Council has decided to relieve the Minister of Defense from duty and retire him.

President’s Decision to Retire Defense Minister

On Thursday, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued Decision No. (11) for the year 2026. This decision includes significant changes in the military leadership.

Removal of Defense Minister

The first article of the decision states that Lieutenant General Mohsen Mohammed Al-Dhaery has been relieved of his duties as Minister of Defense. Following this removal, he will transition into retirement.

Implementation of the Decision

The second article specifies that the decision will take effect immediately upon its publication in the official gazette and military bulletins. This ensures that the changes are promptly communicated to all relevant parties.
