The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued a significant decree today. This decision, identified as Decree No. (10) for the year 2026, marks a pivotal change in military leadership.
The first article of the decree appoints Brigadier General Khalid Yuslam Ali Al-Quthmi as the new commander of the Second Presidential Special Guard Brigade. This appointment reflects the council’s commitment to strengthening the leadership within the armed forces.
According to the second article of the decree, this decision takes effect immediately upon its issuance. Furthermore, it will be published in the official gazette and military bulletins to ensure transparency and public awareness.
This leadership change aims to enhance the operational effectiveness of the Presidential Guard, a critical component of national security.
