President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressed his condolences to the family of Sheikh Ali bin Salem Bagithan. The prominent member of the Shura Council and head of the Fatwa Council in Wadi Hadramout passed away after a lifetime dedicated to religious service and teaching Islamic sciences.
In his message, President Alimi conveyed profound sadness over the loss of Sheikh Bagithan. He described the late scholar as “a beacon of guidance and a distinguished authority in jurisprudence, inheritance, and religious teachings.” Many scholars, preachers, and guides benefited from his extensive knowledge and mentorship.
President Alimi praised Sheikh Bagithan’s contributions to his faith and country. He highlighted the scholar’s commitment to promoting coexistence, moderation, and conflict resolution. The President prayed for the late Sheikh’s mercy and forgiveness and offered strength and solace to his family during this difficult time.
The passing of Sheikh Ali Bagithan marks a significant loss for the community. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations in the fields of religious education and guidance.
