On Wednesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, extended heartfelt condolences to Mohammed Hussein Al-Masouri and his brothers following the death of their father, General Hussein Mohammed Al-Masouri. The esteemed member of the Shura Council passed away after a life dedicated to serving the nation.
In his message, President Alimi, along with the members of the council and the government, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of General Al-Masouri. He praised the late general’s significant contributions and his honorable history in defending the republican system.
President Alimi highlighted General Al-Masouri’s remarkable career, which was marked by dedication and sacrifice for his country and its people. He played a pivotal role as one of the leading officers in the Free Officers Movement during the September 26 Revolution of 1962. His commitment continued as he defended the revolution against the Imamate regime.
Throughout his distinguished career, General Al-Masouri held numerous key positions in security, military, diplomatic, and civil sectors. His roles included serving as Deputy Minister of Interior, Chief of General Staff, Ambassador to Egypt, Permanent Representative to the Arab League, and Mayor of Sana’a.
President Alimi concluded his message by praying for the late general’s soul to find peace and for his family to receive strength and solace during this difficult time.
