President Rashad Alimi Arrives in Riyadh for Arab-Islamic Summit

On Sunday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived in Riyadh to participate in the Arab-Islamic Follow-up Summit. This important meeting, convened by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to address the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian territories and Lebanon, as well as to discuss the current developments in the region.

Warm Welcome at King Khalid International Airport

Upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport, President Alimi received a warm welcome. The reception included His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh, along with His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayaf, the Secretary of the Region. Additionally, Major General Mansour bin Nasser Al-Otaibi, the Acting Director of the Regional Police, and Fahd Al-Suhail, the Royal Protocol Agent, were also present.

Expressing Gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s Leadership

In a statement, President Alimi expressed his deep appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. He highlighted the significance of their invitation to this summit, which takes place amidst complex political and security challenges.

Commending Saudi Arabia’s Role in Arab and Islamic Solidarity

President Alimi praised the meticulous preparations for the Arab-Islamic Follow-up Summit. He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in fostering Arab and Islamic solidarity and advocating for the Palestinian cause. He emphasized the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Yemeni Delegation Participating in the Summit

The Yemeni delegation at the summit includes Dr. Yahya Al-Shaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency, and Dr. Sha’if Al-Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs. Their participation underscores Yemen’s commitment to addressing regional issues and supporting the Palestinian cause.

This summit represents a critical opportunity for Arab and Islamic nations to unite and strategize in response to ongoing regional conflicts and challenges.
