The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) has announced the completion of the evaluation process for entries submitted to the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival. The selection committee reviewed the nominated works to ensure they met the festival’s technical and content criteria. Ultimately, 320 entries will compete for awards across various categories.

Transparent and Independent Judging Process

In a recent statement, ASBU emphasized that the judging process took place on a digital platform specifically developed for managing festival competitions. This platform ensured the highest levels of transparency and integrity. Each judge conducted evaluations independently, allowing for unbiased assessments. The platform automatically calculated results without human intervention, reinforcing principles of fairness and equal opportunity among participants.

Diverse Participation Reflects Growing Industry Engagement

The selection results highlight a competitive landscape, with 320 entries spanning radio, television, and new media categories. This diversity showcases the wide range of productions and the increasing involvement of various organizations and institutions in the festival.

In the radio competitions alone, 161 entries came from 35 Arab and international broadcasting entities. The main competition featured 118 works submitted by 16 member radio organizations, while the parallel competition included 43 entries from 19 international and private broadcasters. This participation underscores the growing presence of both Arab and international media institutions at this year’s festival.

A Rich Variety of Themes

The participating works cover a broad spectrum of themes, including contemporary Arabic literature, success stories, personal development, and empowerment of underprivileged groups. Additionally, the entries include children’s programs, family economics, community sports, historical dramas, and documentary features.
