Taiz: The Yemeni Network documents 43 Houthi crimes and violations within 24 hours.

Houthi Militias Commit 43 Violations in Taiz

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms documented 43 crimes and violations committed by the Houthi terrorist militias, supported by the Iranian regime, in Taiz Governorate over the past 24 hours. These actions resulted in the deaths of five civilians and injuries to 17 others, along with damage to seven homes and 12 private vehicles. Additionally, the Al-Safwa Hospital and Al-Saeed Mosque in Taiz city sustained damage.

Civilian Casualties and Damage

The report highlighted that among the deceased was five-year-old Ahlam Abdul Salam, who died inside her family home in the Haisban area of Al-Masrak District due to shelling that targeted residential villages in the rural areas of the governorate.

The report also noted that the 17 injured individuals included women, children, and the elderly. The militias launched over 180 projectiles on residential neighborhoods across various districts in the governorate, employing mortar shells, artillery, howitzers, Katyusha rockets, and tank shells, in addition to drone attacks.

Impact on Civilian Infrastructure

The network pointed out that the bombardment caused significant damage to homes, vehicles, and civilian facilities, including Al-Safwa Hospital and Al-Saeed Mosque. This situation threatens civilian safety and hinders patients’ access to healthcare services.

Humanitarian Crisis Worsens

The network warned of a deteriorating humanitarian situation in the governorate due to ongoing shelling, blockades, and restrictions on supply access. Reports indicate a shortage of essential goods and rising prices for food, water, fuel, and medicine, exacerbating the suffering of families, particularly children, the sick, and the elderly.

Call for International Action

The network urged the international community and the United Nations to take urgent steps to stop attacks on civilian infrastructure and protect civilians, medical facilities, and places of worship. They called for lifting restrictions on the movement of residents and ensuring safe and regular access to food, water, fuel, medicine, and humanitarian aid. Furthermore, they demanded an end to the recruitment of children and their release, along with the provision of necessary care and rehabilitation.
