The Taiz Police Department has announced its key security and service achievements for the first half of 2026. The department reported an impressive crime resolution rate of 94%, reflecting its ongoing commitment to enhancing security and stability in the region.

According to a report from the Planning and Organization Department, the total number of recorded criminal offenses reached 2,401. The security forces successfully apprehended 3,210 suspects, ensuring that most crimes were addressed. All cases have been forwarded to the relevant authorities for necessary legal procedures.

The report highlighted the Criminal Investigation Department’s effective handling of 384 cases, achieving a resolution rate of 90%. This efficiency underscores the security forces’ dedication to combating crime in Taiz.

The service departments within the Taiz Police have also reported significant accomplishments in recent months, including:

• Immigration, Passports, and Nationality Department: Completed 137,972 transactions, including passport issuance and renewals, profession modifications, and visa processing.
• Civil Status and Civil Registry Department: Processed 149,092 transactions, covering electronic ID cards, family records, and certificates for births, deaths, marriages, and divorces.
• Traffic Police Department: Finalized 33,828 transactions, including vehicle registrations, driving licenses, and property documentation.

Financial Revenues and Their Role in Security

The financial revenues generated by various departments are as follows:

• Immigration and Passports: 1,452,304,880 Yemeni Riyals.
• Civil Status: 2,056,639,373 Yemeni Riyals.
• Traffic Police: 222,513,000 Yemeni Riyals.
