According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the severe weather conditions have impacted 22,688 families, totaling 158,816 people, across 19 Yemeni provinces from January 1 to July 28, 2024. The report highlighted that to date, the rains and the resultant floods have claimed 10 lives and injured 14 others.

OCHA further detailed that humanitarian organizations have provided assistance to 13,878 families and are continuing efforts to meet the needs of those most vulnerable and affected by the rains and floods throughout the country.
