The National Grain Supply Company, known as Sable, successfully unloaded its first wheat shipment at Neom Port in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The vessel carried a substantial 66,000 tons of wheat. This operation marks a significant step in Sable’s strategy to diversify its logistics channels and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Sable emphasizes that this initiative aligns with its goal to increase operational flexibility and expand market access. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), utilizing Neom Port accelerates the delivery of shipments to branches in northern regions, including Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Hail, and Al-Qassim. This improvement boosts distribution efficiency and elevates service levels for beneficiaries.
Sable highlights that this initiative extends its efforts to develop the grain supply system. Through effective partnerships and advanced logistics solutions, this project enhances supply chain reliability and supports the Kingdom’s food security objectives. The company remains committed to providing high-quality services that meet local market demands.
Neom Port, strategically located on the Red Sea, plays a crucial role in developing the Kingdom’s logistics infrastructure. The port aims to become a comprehensive logistics center, connecting three continents through a network of ports, roads, and maritime and land trade routes. Additionally, the port enhances local and regional logistics connectivity through a system that includes cargo handling and short-distance land and coastal shipping.
Furthermore, the development of Neom Port aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position in global trade and reflecting its commitment to advancing the logistics sector.
