The Saudi Ministry of Energy announced today that it has successfully restored full pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, which amounts to approximately seven million barrels per day. Additionally, the ministry reported the recovery of production levels at the Al-Munifa field, which had been affected, now reaching around 300,000 barrels per day.
In a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry referred to its earlier announcement on April 9, 2026. This prior statement detailed the impact of targeted attacks on some energy facilities in the Kingdom. These disruptions included a loss of about 700,000 barrels per day in pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline and a decrease in production from the Al-Munifa field by approximately 300,000 barrels per day. Furthermore, the Khurais field also experienced a production decline of around 300,000 barrels per day.
The ministry emphasized that while operations at the Khurais field continue, efforts to restore its full production capacity are still underway. An update will be provided once these efforts are complete.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy highlighted that this rapid recovery demonstrates the operational resilience and crisis management efficiency of Saudi Aramco and the Kingdom’s energy sector. This capability not only enhances the reliability of supply for local and global markets but also supports the global economy.
In conclusion, the swift restoration of energy operations underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to maintaining stable energy supplies despite recent challenges.
