Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Attacks on Gulf States and International Navigation

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned Iran’s ongoing actions that threaten regional security and stability. The ministry emphasized that Iran’s repeated attacks on commercial vessels pose a direct threat to international navigation and freedom, necessitating serious international action to safeguard these vital routes.

Concerns Over Iranian Aggression

Saudi Arabia also denounced the unlawful assaults targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, and Jordan. These actions represent a blatant violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Charter, and principles of good neighborliness. Such aggression negatively impacts diplomatic relations and heightens tensions across the region.

Firm Rejection of Iranian Violations

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the kingdom’s absolute rejection of any Iranian violations of the sovereignty of neighboring states. The ministry stated that these ongoing attacks jeopardize regional security and stability, undermining international efforts to protect maritime navigation and ensure the safety of Gulf states and the Arab region. This steadfast position reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to defending the sovereign rights of its neighbors.

Call for Enhanced Regional and International Cooperation

Saudi Arabia urges the need for strengthened regional and international cooperation to address these challenges. Countering Iranian threats requires unified efforts among Arab nations and the global community to ensure maritime safety and regional security. In these circumstances, dialogue and coordination among states remain the most effective means to achieve lasting peace and stability.
