The Ibb Governorate, currently under the control of Houthi militants, experienced another tragic day as six individuals were killed in various incidents across multiple districts. This surge in violence underscores the deteriorating security situation and increasing crime rates in the region.
In the Habish district, a man identified as Mohammed Abdulraqeeb Al-Munai’i fatally shot his uncle, Ahmed Mohammed Qasim Al-Munai’i, on the main road at Naqil Al-Aqab following a family dispute. Shortly thereafter, Al-Munai’i killed another citizen, Abdullah Shalaan, after a heated argument stemming from the initial incident before fleeing the scene.
Additionally, in the Al-Adain district, a local resident named Sadiq Ali Al-Shahari was killed by Wadi Ali Saleh Mashaj after a disagreement erupted between them. These incidents highlight the alarming prevalence of violence and instability in the area.
In a separate tragic event, three residents from the Jibla district, including Ridwan Al-Afif and his son Mohammed, lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a Hilux truck on the road leading east of Ibb City. This incident emphasizes the dangers associated with deteriorating road conditions and a lack of oversight.
