Prime Minister Congratulates Human Rights Activist on International Award

Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister of Yemen, congratulated Ameenah Al-Salam Al-Haj, the head of the Mothers of Abductees Association, for winning the International Women of Courage Award for 2025. This prestigious award is presented by the U.S. Department of State.

During a phone call on Tuesday, the Prime Minister expressed that her victory represents a source of pride for women and the Yemeni people as a whole. He highlighted her impactful role in defending victims and raising awareness about the systematic crimes committed by the Houthi militia against the abducted and forcibly disappeared individuals. He emphasized that this recognition honors all victims and every Yemeni woman who bravely defends justice and dignity against oppressors.

Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak praised the courage of Ameenah Al-Salam Al-Haj and all Yemeni mothers for their relentless struggle for the freedom of their children and loved ones.
