Yemen Participates in Islamic Dialogue Conference in Bahrain
The Republic of Yemen actively participated today in the Islamic Dialogue Conference held in the capital city of Manama, Bahrain. The Yemeni delegation, led by Minister of Awqaf and Guidance Dr. Mohammed Shabeeb, aims to contribute to the discussions on pressing issues facing the Islamic community.
This two-day conference gathers scholars, religious leaders, thinkers, and prominent Islamic figures from around the globe. The primary goal is to reject the causes of division, strife, and sectarian conflict, particularly by addressing hate speech, provocation, and the practice of takfir (declaring others as non-believers). Participants emphasize the importance of overcoming both historical and contemporary conflicts, along with their negative repercussions.
The conference seeks to leverage various Islamic and humanitarian experiences to foster unity among the diverse components of the Muslim Ummah. It aims to build on previous dialogue initiatives and develop a stronger, broader vision for collaboration. By focusing on the most critical and urgent issues, the conference intends to address unresolved problems that have persisted over time.
As Yemen engages in this significant dialogue, the conference represents a vital opportunity for fostering understanding and cooperation among Islamic communities worldwide. The discussions will likely pave the way for new initiatives aimed at promoting peace and unity in the face of ongoing challenges.
