In a recent escalation of conflict, four members of the Houthi militia were killed, and five others sustained injuries during intense clashes with the armed forces in the Qanaw front, located east of Bir al-Maraziq in Al-Jawf Governorate. This confrontation followed a failed infiltration attempt by the Iran-backed militia.
A military source reported to the Armed Forces Media Center that army units detected suspicious movements from Houthi elements near their positions. In response, the troops acted decisively, employing a range of medium and light weaponry. This engagement led to hours of fierce fighting, resulting in the destruction of a military vehicle belonging to the militia.
The source noted that the eastern fronts of Al-Jawf Governorate experience intermittent clashes due to the repeated assaults carried out by Houthi forces. These ongoing skirmishes highlight the persistent instability in the region.
Over the past two days, the army successfully thwarted similar Houthi attacks in the fronts of Marib and Taiz Governorates. These victories demonstrate the military’s commitment to countering the threats posed by the militia and maintaining security in the region.
As the situation continues to evolve, the armed forces remain vigilant in their efforts to protect the local population and restore stability to the affected areas.
