Ministry of Higher Education Releases Funds for Overseas Students
In a recent announcement, Dr. Mazen Al-Jafri, the Deputy Minister for Scholarships at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, confirmed the initiation of the transfer of entitlements to students dispatched abroad for the second quarter of 2023. Speaking to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Dr. Al-Jafri detailed that the process of transferring funds from the Central Bank of Yemen in the temporary capital, Aden, to all accredited Yemeni cultural attachés and embassies abroad has begun. These funds are expected to be disbursed to the students in the coming days.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Jafri highlighted that the Scholarship Sector has also completed preparations for the third quarter of 2023 and the academic fees for the 2023/2024 academic year. This effort aims to minimize the time gap between the due date of each quarter and its expected delivery date. He appealed to the students to understand the difficult circumstances and current challenges faced by the nation.
