Yemeni Ministry of Youth and Sports Discusses Activation of Scout and Guide Activities
On Tuesday, a meeting was held in the temporary capital of Aden, chaired by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayif Saleh Al-Bakri. The discussions focused on revitalizing the activities of the Scout and Guide Association across all provinces of the Republic of Yemen and preparing for the celebration of the revolution holidays in September, October, and November.
Meeting Highlights
The meeting included the General Commissioner of Scouts, Mishaal Al-Daeri, and the Director of the Guide Management, Mervat Mubarak, with the presence of Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Azzam Khalifa. Minister Al-Bakri emphasized the significant role played by Yemeni scouts and guides in fostering loyalty to the country. He highlighted their contribution to developing self-reliance, cooperation, community development, environmental service, and promoting fraternity and peace among different peoples worldwide.
Ministry’s Support and Future Plans
Minister Al-Bakri pointed out that the Ministry of Youth and Sports, under the direct instructions of the Presidential Leadership Council headed by His Excellency Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi and Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, is committed to supporting the association. He stressed the importance of activating its role and activities across all Yemeni provinces, including public and private universities, and ensuring participation in international events.
Mervat Mubarak, the Director of the Guide Management, reviewed the major activities and events conducted by the association and outlined its plans for the upcoming phase. These plans include preparations for celebrating the country’s revolution holidays in September, October, and November.
