Strengthening Ties: Yemen and Al-Azhar Forge Closer Cooperation

In a significant meeting today, Dr. Mohammed Shabeeba, Yemen’s Minister of Awqaf and Guidance, engaged in discussions with Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, focusing on enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two sides. The discussions also revolved around the conditions of Yemeni students studying at Al-Azhar University and the renewal of cooperation protocols.

Al-Azhar’s Supportive Role Highlighted

Minister Shabeeba lauded Al-Azhar’s pivotal role and its scholars in supporting Islamic issues and Muslims worldwide. He emphasized the educational efforts of Al-Azhar that have reached global scales, from which Yemen has greatly benefited.
