Minister of Information visits educator and artist Bin Tarsh in Mukalla.

The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, recently visited the esteemed educator and artist, Abdullah bin Tarsh, at his home in the city of Al-Shihr, Hadhramaut Province.

During his visit, Al-Eryani expressed his delight in meeting such a prominent figure in both the educational and artistic fields. He praised bin Tarsh for his significant contributions as a distinguished educator, a rhythmic artist, and a dance instructor. Bin Tarsh has participated in numerous local and national forums, both within Yemen and internationally. One of his most notable roles was as a trainer at the Roots Festival, commemorating the 15th anniversary of Yemeni unity. Moreover, he has collaborated with many artists, including the renowned Abu Bakr Salem Balfaqih.

Al-Eryani appreciated bin Tarsh’s efforts in the various positions he has held, most recently as the Deputy Head of the dance group for the Al-Shihr Directorate. He affirmed the government’s, represented by the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, commitment to supporting artistic, cultural, and creative personalities. Al-Eryani encouraged the new generation to learn from artists who have significantly contributed to the service of the nation and society.

Abdullah bin Tarsh expressed his gratitude to Minister Al-Eryani for the visit, appreciating the kind gesture. He also expressed satisfaction with the progress of the artistic and creative movement in Hadhramaut in recent years.

The minister was accompanied during his visit by several notable figures, including Mohammed Bashraheel, President of the 14th October Foundation for Press, Printing, and Publishing; Mujahid Al-Haj, Head of the Television Sector, Hadhramaut Satellite Channel; Abdulbasit Al-Qaedi, Deputy Minister of Information; and Adel Baakabah, Director of Al-Shihr Directorate.

This visit highlights the Yemeni government’s ongoing support for cultural and artistic figures, emphasizing the importance of arts and education in the development and enrichment of society.
