A meeting held today in the city of Seiyun, located in the Hadramout province, chaired by the Deputy Governor of Hadramout for the Affairs of the Valley and Desert Directorates, Amer Said Al Amri, discussed the state of the sports sector in Wadi Hadramout and future work directions.
During the meeting, the Deputy Governor emphasized that the local authority places significant reliance on the youth and sports sector due to its impact on society and its role in propelling young people towards achievement, winning championships, and enhancing national identity and patriotism. He pointed out that the authority would proceed with the Youth and Sports Office to develop sports facilities capable of nurturing sporting talents who can achieve in all fields.
He added that projects previously announced by the local authority would be acted upon promptly, continuing the authority’s approach to developing the sports sector’s infrastructure.
In his turn, the General Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office for Wadi Hadramout and the Desert, Dr. Magdi Sulaiman, reviewed the office’s future work directions. These include collective work, focusing on infrastructure, sports activities, activating the work of unions and clubs, and training and qualification covering all sectors.
The General Director of Youth and Sports also announced the regular disbursement of allocations for unions and clubs, in accordance with the local authority leadership’s directions, appreciating the support and attention of the local authority leadership to the sports sector, reflecting their interest in youth and athletes.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Deputy Governor of Hadramout, Abdulhadi Al-Tamimi, the General Director of Seiyun Directorate, Khalid Balfas, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Advisor, Ali Ba Shaib, the General Director of the Media Office, Rashid Al Amri, and the President of the Clubs Coordination Council, Khalid Al Amri.
