In a significant meeting held today in Aden, the acting head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Mohsen Yahya Taleb, engaged with the acting head of the General Authority for Lands, Survey, and Urban Planning, Salem Al-Awlaki. The discussion focused on enhancing coordination between their agencies to safeguard state lands and properties.
During the meeting, participants reviewed ongoing violations against state lands perpetrated by influential individuals. These actions pose a serious threat to public order and the rights of both the state and its citizens. The leaders emphasized the urgent need to expedite legal proceedings in these cases within the courts and public prosecution offices.
The officials agreed to convene a joint meeting that will include the Attorney General, as well as the Ministers of Legal Affairs and Justice. This upcoming gathering aims to address issues related to land documentation and unify official efforts to ensure the protection of rights and the effective application of the law.
Both the head of the judiciary and the acting head of the land authority stressed the critical need for institutional coordination. They highlighted the importance of integrating the roles of relevant agencies to combat illegal encroachments on state lands and to protect public properties from unlawful actions.
This meeting marks a proactive step towards reinforcing legal frameworks and ensuring the integrity of state assets in Yemen.
