On Thursday evening, a significant security campaign commenced in Taiz Governorate, mobilizing various military and security units. This initiative is designed to enhance public safety, protect citizens and their property, and regulate the carrying of firearms throughout the city.
According to sources from the security media, the campaign involves the participation of the Public Security Forces, Special Security, Patrol Police, Traffic Security, Emergency Forces, and Military Police. Additionally, units from the National Army are collaborating to implement a comprehensive operational plan that covers several main streets and key areas within Taiz.
The campaign is led by Captain Ibrahim Al-Nu’man, an officer responsible for maintaining security and order. He indicated that this initiative follows directives issued by the Director General of Police in the governorate, Brigadier General Mansour Al-Akhali. The primary objectives of the campaign include reducing instances of random firearm possession, apprehending wanted individuals, and restoring law and order, thereby reinforcing security and the authority of the state.
Al-Nu’man elaborated that the campaign has established a substantial presence on main roads through fixed and mobile checkpoints. He emphasized that the operations are guided by a meticulously organized plan aimed at ensuring the effective achievement of the campaign’s goals. Furthermore, he assured that security and military units would continue their deployment in the coming days to bolster the foundations of security and stability within the region.
