Leadership Council head and members visit 35th Armored Brigade HQ, honor late Al-Hammadi with a moment of silence.

Yemeni Leadership Pays Tribute to Military and Fallen Heroes

In a significant visit, His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, along with council members Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Osman Majali, recently visited the headquarters of the 35th Armored Brigade. The delegation was warmly received by key regional and military officials, including Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Sanwi, the Deputy Governor of Taiz for Hajjah Affairs, and several high-ranking officers of the brigade.

Strategic Briefings and Acknowledgments

During their visit, the council leadership was briefed on the brigade’s operational readiness, training levels, and morale, emphasizing the strategic execution of their duties across various combat and training spectrums. President Al-Alimi praised the 35th Armored Brigade for its pivotal role in deterring the threats posed by the Houthi militias and for upholding the state’s dignity in their operational theaters. This acknowledgment highlights the brigade’s unique cohesion and resilience in the critical battle against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists.

Support from Coalition Partners

The President also highlighted the generous support from the Saudi-led coalition, particularly from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This support has been instrumental in bolstering Yemen’s state institutions, including the armed forces and security services, standing firmly with the Yemeni people, their political leadership, and the nation’s security and stability.

Tribute to a National Hero

The visit took a poignant turn as the council members made a stop at the birthplace of the late Brigadier General Adnan Al-Hammadi, the former commander of the 35th Armored Brigade. They paid their respects and read the Fatiha for the soul of the courageous leader, commemorating his heroic sagas in the battle to reclaim state institutions and defend the republican system against the Houthi militias. The delegation expressed their profound admiration for Brigadier General Al-Hammadi’s valor and his pioneering role in confronting the Houthi threat and initiating the formation of the national army.

Honoring the Legacy

President Al-Alimi lauded the late Brigadier General Adnan Al-Hammadi for his remarkable contributions and brave leadership in serving the nation. As a distinguished military leader and an eternal symbol of bravery, Al-Hammadi’s legacy in leading the Yemeni people’s existential fight against the Iranian-backed Houthi insurgents was particularly commended.

This visit underscores the Yemeni leadership’s commitment to honoring its military heroes and the sacrifices made by its citizens in the face of ongoing challenges. It reaffirms the nation’s resolve in fighting terrorism and upholding the principles of legitimacy and republicanism.
