Leadership Council Chief briefed by Governor Mabkhout bin Madi on Hadhramaut’s situation.

President Al-Alimi Discusses Hadhramaut's Status with Governor

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, conducted a phone call on Wednesday with the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhout bin Madi, to inquire about the conditions of the citizens and the coordinated efforts with governmental bodies to enhance services and reinforce security and stability in the province.

During the call, President Al-Alimi, on behalf of himself, the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government, congratulated Governor bin Madi on the successful conclusion of the annual “Star of the Town” festival, which has emerged as one of the prime tourist destinations to enjoy the rare natural phenomenon in the region.

The President received a briefing from the Governor of Hadhramaut on the general situation in the province, including the local authority’s efforts in security, service, and development aspects, and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the citizens. Foremost among these efforts are the fundamental solutions for the electricity sector and essential services, despite the financial crisis caused by the Houthi militia’s terrorist attacks on oil facilities, supported by the Iranian regime.

President Al-Alimi praised the local authority’s efforts to normalize the situation in the province, highlighting the high responsibility and trust placed in the people of Hadhramaut to present their province as an example of peace, a cradle of human civilization, a source of inspiration in development and reconstruction, and a respecter of state institutions and the rule of law. He also commended their role in spreading a culture of coexistence and moderation worldwide.
