The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has signed a cooperation agreement with a local civil society organization. This initiative aims to support the educational process for children affected by conflict in the districts of Al-Houta and Tabban in Lahij Governorate.

Agreement Details and Beneficiaries

The agreement, signed via video conference by Engineer Ahmed Al-Bayez, the Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs at the center, directly benefits 6,833 individuals and indirectly impacts 16,000 others. This initiative aligns with the center’s ongoing efforts to enhance education and protect children in conflict zones.

Key Components of the Initiative

The agreement includes several key components:

  • Awareness Campaigns: The initiative will launch campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of education.
  • School Supplies: The distribution of school bags, uniforms, and hygiene kits will support students’ needs.
  • Psychosocial Support Programs: The center will implement programs that provide psychological and social support, along with referral services for children.
  • Capacity Building: Training sessions will enhance the teaching skills of volunteers, while educational tools will be supplied to teachers, including teaching resource kits for classrooms.

Infrastructure Improvements

Additionally, the initiative will secure first aid kits, sports equipment, tables, and chairs. It will also focus on rehabilitating classrooms in targeted schools. These efforts aim to create a safe and stimulating educational environment for children.
