Justice Ministry joins 23rd meeting of Arab legislative officials.

Justice Ministry Engages in Key Legislative Meeting via Video Conference

In a significant move to enhance legislative frameworks, the Ministry of Justice participated in the 23rd regular meeting of legislative officials from Arab countries, held in Beirut, Lebanon, through video conferencing technology today.

Discussing Impact and Artificial Intelligence

The meeting, which saw the participation of the Head of the Technical Office at the Ministry of Justice, Judge Nabil Hassan, focused on the examination of the Guideline for Measuring Legislative Impact. It also reviewed the experiences of countries in implementing recommendations from the 22nd meeting and presented visions on the topic of artificial intelligence.

Judge Nabil Hassan highlighted the Ministry of Justice’s efforts to bolster work in the field of studies and research, aiming to improve performance in light of legislative developments and required innovations across various sectors.

Artificial Intelligence Initiatives and Recommendations Review

Hassan pointed out that the ministry has developed concepts related to artificial intelligence based on identified field needs. Following this, preliminary activities have commenced to establish a network connection to be implemented in the courts of the temporary capital, Aden.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed the recommendations issued during the 22nd meeting held from August 21 to 29, 2023, and discussed the outcomes of implementing these recommendations by the participating countries.

Strengthening Legislative Frameworks

This engagement underscores the Ministry of Justice’s commitment to enhancing legislative studies and research, developing performance in response to legislative changes, and exploring the potential of artificial intelligence in the legal field. The collaborative efforts and shared experiences among Arab countries aim to strengthen legislative frameworks and adapt to technological advancements effectively.
