These actions are part of ongoing investigations into Adnan Al-Jumaili, the Deputy Minister of Oil, who faces allegations of money laundering and financial corruption.

The court’s decisions also involve the seizure of seven modern transport trucks, each valued at $200,000. These assets were registered under the names of workers linked to the fleeing defendants, a tactic used to obscure the origins of illicit funds. This measure guarantees the continued operation of these businesses and the collection of their financial revenues.

Recovery of Smuggled Gold

In a related development, the Supreme Judicial Council announced the recovery of 375 kilograms of gold. Of this amount, 358 kilograms were retrieved in coordination with the Kurdistan Region, while 17 kilograms were recovered in a separate investigative case. Authorities have transferred this gold to the Central Bank of Iraq, marking a significant step in the fight against corruption.
