Governor of Shabwa Celebrates Eid al-Fitr with Local Community
On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Governor Awdh bin al-Wazir joined Brigadier General Musleh al-Otaibi, the commander of the Coalition Forces supporting legitimacy, in prayer at Al-Khalifi Stadium in the city of Ataq. The event took place amid a serene and joyful atmosphere, reflecting the strong bond between leadership and the community during this significant religious celebration.
Importance of Eid in Arab and Islamic Culture
During the Eid sermon, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Sael emphasized the etiquette and significance of this religious observance. He highlighted its vital role in the lives of Arab and Islamic nations, particularly in promoting values of tolerance, solidarity, and spiritual unity. The sermon also addressed how holidays strengthen social ties and instill hope within communities.
Call for Unity Against Houthi Threats
Sheikh Abdulaziz urged the need to liberate Yemen from the threats posed by Houthi militias. He called for collective efforts to restore security and stability in the region. The Sheikh stressed the importance of continued official and popular support for President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, in efforts to restore the state, uphold the republican system, and achieve lasting peace.
Acknowledgment of Saudi Support
The Sheikh also praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its role in supporting development and enhancing security and stability in Shabwa. He commended the local authority’s leadership for their efforts in maintaining safety in the province.
